...one side-effect of our accelerated technological society is perhaps that ‘anything goes’ with regards to artistic license. By way of democratic progress (non-free areas not withstanding), generations of artistic innovation, and the more recent universal access to information - an idealized absolute right to creativity has been internalized. This favors innovations in creating and exercising freedom, but without the constraints of society. The distinctions between expression, freedom, preference, or gesture can be mistaken. Or, has distinction been rendered irrelevant via the prevailing ego-democracy? What is its jurisdiction? In this context, Rapidshare is an examination of artistic license in a post-communal society.
